Aspen Grill

Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

This establishment is a throw-back to a gentler way of living. Live music performed nightly on a baby grand piano over cocktails or dinner. The cuisine is definitely classic steakhouse, featuring prime steaks and “local” seafood. Artwork by local artists is displayed for your pleasure and is available for purchase. The large private dining room makes this a great place to host an office Christmas party. **Note: This is possibly the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. They actually serve edible flowers in the salad! (some kind of orchid, they say)

The restaurant is intimate with a massive wooden bar reminding one of a neighborhood dining establishment in New York City or Chicago. Boasting the best steaks on the beach, we can attest that not only are the steaks sumptuous, but so is everything else on the menu. Try the Filet Fenway, "A succulent 8oz. tenderloin and crab cake atop a grilled portabella mushroom cap, finished with a creamy crab Veloute."

Myrtle Beach, SC 29572
843-449-0288 MAP and REVIEWS
Historically famous for the best steaks in town, Cagney's is locally owned along with its sister restaurant, Flamingo's. Cagney's has the more formal atmosphere, and live entertainment on weekends in its huge bar and nightclub area. Excellent food and fair prices. Steaks are to die for, and they understand the importance of great bernaise sauce. They also have better bread than most places.

Flavorful authentic Italian dishes from traditional pastas to seafood and beef are offered. They also feature a gluten-free menu, diabetic nutritional analysis and a popular carry-out menu. Excellent Italian selections and homemade bread for your enjoyment. Famous for its "Sirloin Marsala", but the manicotti and lasagne are as good as it gets.

During the daytime this establishment is a European-style coffeehouse and lounge which transforms itself after dark to an upscale Mediterranean restaurant. Local artisans display their handiwork in this 6000 sq. ft. setting for patrons to admire, and they are available for purchase. Steaks and seafood dishes are excellent. Atmosphere is even better!

Greg Norman’s Australian Grille *All-time Best*
4930 Highway 17 South (Barefoot Landing)
North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
843-361-0000 MAP and REVIEWS
Casual and spacious indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway
with nightly live entertainment on the patio. "Down Under" is in reference to Greg Norman's home of Australia, and not to the preparation method of the superb upscale dining. Just about the best steak in the world and for sure the best steak in Myrtle Beach. If you're gutsy, you can order ostrich or alligator, too.
The waterfront deck with its view of the marina is as good as it gets. It's pricey, but you probably can't find better food and atmosphere anywhere. The huge bar and outdoor seating makes it friendly for smokers, too. Greg Norman's is this website owner's favorite of all the restaurants in Myrtle Beach. They should be treating me for this review, too! LOL

Boasting to be the only restaurant on the Grand Strand to have views of both the Atlantic Ocean on one side of the restaurant and Murrells Inlet on the other, we concur that the views are sensational, especially of the sunsets. Great seafood platters and the filet mignon is amazing. They have a live band on the rooftop bar and $15 ayce oyster roasts during the fall. Reasonable prices and reservations required during the summer. This is a very popular place. Bring your camera!

For over thirty-five (35) years this restaurant has been serving up platefuls of large and reasonably priced meals. They are known for their early bird menu and the seniors flock to it every evening. A remodeled rustic home overlooking a saltwater marsh offering casual dining both
inside and outdoors on a screened in porch. A favorite pastime is watching the wildlife coming to dine on leftover bread from the restaurant. Marvelously prepared items from fish, seafood, chicken, steaks and pasta. They do not deep-fry anything! The local's favorite is the shrimp and grits. Again, one of the best steaks you'll find anywhere, a free appetizer crab dip, and really good side dishes to compliment the main course. Best Bernaise sauce in Myrtle Beach!

A very busy and popular dining spot because of location and the food is terrific. Offering seafood in the Gulf Coast-style tradition with steaks, chicken and pasta for the landlubbers. Landry’s started in 1947 in Louisiana and has expanded nationwide. Being at Broadway at the Beach is a big plus.

Two (2) very popular locations to satisfy the Italian lover in all of us, the parent company also owns Red Lobster. The secret to their success is excellently prepared affordable items, and an ever-changing menu to eliminate boredom and tease the taste buds. Again, the food and ambience is near five-star, but the prices are very reasonable. Great for families and always consistently good!

The main dining room of this restaurant was built in 1885 and served as a church until 1952. The building was relocated to its present location and enhanced with stained glass and other items from various churches and buildings in the Carolinas. The traditional steak or seafood cuisine is award-winning and extremely popular with locals and returning visitors. They seldom advertise and are not right at the beach, yet they are always full. That tells you a lot!

Two (2) locations to satisfy the seafood lover. The parent company also owns the Olive Garden Italian Restaurants. There are so many combinations of seafood to be enjoyed, it boggles the mind and makes a selection for lunch or dinner problematic. But everyone walks away with a smile. It may be a chain, but it is one of the best seafood restaurants in existance. Join their website club and get constant coupons and specials. If you want lobster, this is the place. A dining tradition from the pampas of Southern Brazil, this is an all-you-care to eat restaurant. A large and lovely salad bar boasting a HUGE array of items plus roving servers offering fifteen (15) selections of beef, lamb, pork and poultry deliciously seasoned and roasted over an open-fire and carved tableside. A meat-lover's paradise, and priced accordingly. ($35 plus) There are several smaller copy-cats here now, but Rioz still stands alone for the best Brazilian Steakhouse in Myrtle Beach. Just come hungry!

We believe the following statement best describes this restaurant and was taken from
their own website. The items are impeccably prepared and melt in ones mouth.
“We strive to use only the best of the best ingredients in our dishes.
All of our beef is USDA Prime grade or above. Our produce is organically grown.
These ultra high quality ingredients do come at a price. We may appear to be expensive but we believe these superior ingredients are a valued expense and a rarity in North Myrtle Beach. We sacrifice our profit margin to offer these exceptional items to our locals, tourists, and regular patrons at an affordable price.”... They also offer Kobe beef sometimes, and have nice outdoor dining in the summer, to please the smoking visitors.

The restaurant is open seven days a week serving southern hospitality with breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has become a favorite hot spot for friends and family to join together in enjoying quality prepared and served menu items. Famous for the best She-Crab Soup on the Grand Strand, and traditional fried or broiled seafood. One of the few true oceanfront restaurants in Myrtle Beach
Thoroughbreds Chophouse & Seafood Grille

Fine dining since 1988, Thoroughbreds has set the bar high for excellence in service and quality in expertly prepared beef, veal, fowl and seafood. Appetizer samples include escargot, lamb chops, scallops, and fried duck, all prepared in exquisitely unusual ways. Superb aged steaks start in the low $30's, and include a salad and vegetables. Pricey, but truly a special-occasion-restaurant to remember.
In general when choosing a Myrtle Beach five-star restaurant, look for these extras:
Outdoor Dining
Live Entertainment
Waterfront Views
Oceanfront Views
The best bread, sauces, and side items
True charcoal or fire grill for steaks
Seafood that is breaded and not battered
