Myrtle Beach is the home of "Snow Birds"...those folks from the north that come down in November and spend one to four months in a condo or beach home.
What better way to avoid the cold winters? But many of our off-season visitors have dogs or cats. So where do you find a dog friendly condo or cat friendly hotel in North Myrtle Beach or Myrtle Beach?
We'll be honest - there aren't that many. Most resorts that do allow pets reserve it for owners only. You may need to talk directly to someone who has a condo rental and work it out with them instead of one of the rental management companies. But we'll try to give you a list of condos allowing dogs and cats, with clean rooms and great amenities.

Vancouver Motel
This is one of the few pet friendly hotels or (motels) that didn't get converted to condos back in the day. I've known several people who stayed here all through the years and loved it. As of November 2009, they have a big sign up that says they allow pets. Summer Wind Motel
This motel also bears a sign proclaiming it cat and dog friendly. It's located at 1903 South Ocean Blvd, and rated 4 stars by Trip Advisor.
